The UC Berkeley Center for Cities + Schools invites you to attend the CC+S Symposium: The Power of Civic Learning for Resilient Cities on Friday, February 1, 2019 9am - 5pm at UC Berkeley.

As a valued partner, we hope you will join us to learn from leading academic, civic and educational leaders about the importance of youth voice in building an inclusive and resilient region. We invite you to contribute your valuable perspective as well.

Symposium Highlights:

  • Learn about key resilience findings + recommendations from the Y-PLAN Resilient by Design Youth Challenge

  • Hear from civic & educational leaders reflecting on young people's impact in their cities

  • Engage in regional dialogue on resilience planning for and with young people

  • Participate in afternoon workshops to catalyze this research into action in local communities

Please note we are offering an afternoon workshop focused on preparing civic leaders to utilize Y-PLAN in local communities for a small fee. UC Berkeley faculty, staff, and students are free for both the morning and afternoon sessions - please select the Affiliate ticket option.
