AQPI Meets RBD: Understanding and Managing Extreme Weather Events In Relation To Global Climate Change In Shoreline Environments. How To Create Greater Resilience

  • Resilient by Design Storefront 302 Folsom Street San Francisco, CA USA (map)

Advanced Quantitative Precipitation Information (AQPI) is a project funded by a Proposition 84 Integrated Regional Water Management grant that will bring new radar technology and modelling tools to the San Francisco Bay Area to give us the capacity to deal with real, extreme weather events (both wet and dry) that have potentially significant impacts. These events are already happening. The AQPI work will help inform RBD’s efforts to develop long term land and shoreline management solutions for Global Climate Change, particularly sea level rise, in the San Francisco Bay Area.
