Roberto Moris

Principal Investigator at the Research Centre for an Integrated Risk Management (CIGIDEN) and Director of the Cities Observatory UC (OCUC)

Roberto Moris is an expert in urban planning and urban management and has professional experience in both the public and private sector. His work has been related to strategic planning, institutional management, decision-making support mechanisms and urban projects. His recent research has been focused in risk management, climate adaptation planning, hazard mitigation, evacuation systems and temporary housing. He has been working with the United Nations Development Program, World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank, with professional and academic activities in five continents. In the Chilean public sector, he was Technical Secretary of the Cities and Territory Ministers Committee, and Director of National Urban Projects.

He is professor at the School of Architecture and the Institute of Urban and Territorial Studies. He was Deputy Director of the Institute of Urban and Territorial Studies. At present, he is Principal Investigator at the Research Centre for an Integrated Risk Management (CIGIDEN) and Director of the Cities Observatory UC (OCUC).
