Research Advisory CommittEE


The Research Advisory Committee begins the challenge by working with staff and its Executive Board to identify a diverse set of vulnerable locations around the Bay for further exploration during the challenge's Collaborative Research Phase.  Resilient by Design advisors and consultants representing sectors from ecology and environment, public/private finance, and community engagement will be tasked to provide data, knowledge-based resources, and the technical and qualitative support to help Design Teams bring the design challenge to life.These advisors will reconvene at the end of the Collaborative Design Phase to evaluate Design Teams’ three to five Design Opportunities and match them with one site to move forward in the Collaborative Design Phase.The Research Advisory Committee will work with staff and its Executive Board to identify a diverse set of vulnerable locations around the Bay for further exploration during the challenge’s Collaborative Research Phase, based on best available science and community input gathered through an open call for site ideas.
