At Ocean Science Trust she also managed and supported the organization's efforts to develop guidance for sea level rise adaptation and planning in California with the Department of Water Resources and other state/federal agencies.
Marisa believes in the power of local community engagement and action in addressing climate change, and inspiring change. She's excited to bring her experience working in the government, non-profit, and academic sectors to the Resilient Bay Area by Design Challenge. She holds a Master’s degree from the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at UC Santa Barbara, and a B.A. in biological sciences from Wellesley College. She is motivated by her colleagues, and people who follow their heart.
