April received her Master of Science in Ecology and Conservation Biology from San Francisco State University and has over 15 years of experience working in wetland monitoring and conservation science. As part of the Resilient Landscapes Program at SFEI, April’s work focuses on a wide range of applied science studies including wetland monitoring, mercury biosentinel analyses, and landscape resilience planning. Recent notable works of April’s include contributing to SFEI’s Delta Landscapes Project and collaborating with Google’s Ecology Program on the Resilient Silicon Valley project. Prior to joining SFEI, April worked as a tidal marsh biologist at Point Blue in Petaluma, California.
